Name Explanation

I hope everyone sticks to their own interpretation. I'd fail my entire writing career if I am stubborn to sticking to rigid definitions. Though if y'all want my interpretation, here it is:
From a literal interpretation, it borrows the slang, "word to my mother" that is, "I'm dead serious". Saudade in definition, is the intense yearning, and/or nostalgia for something absent. In etymology, it is a Portuguese word, which directly translates as, "yearning" where its Latin derivative, sōlitās, is, "solitude".
Piecing it together, Word to Saudade is understood as, "The presence of my words that are in my intense yearning for what is absent or isolated demands itself serious and truth."
On a literary read, its slang derives from Black New Yorkers who often speak in the North American dialect AAVE. Do not confuse that every Black-American is African, but many non-black individuals appreciate, and appropriate AAVE. In this manner, I wanted to have a permanent appreciate for Black-American's contribution to the English language, as they have been the most influential in my early years to present when it comes to linguistics and literature. Specifically, Queer BIPOC and their linguistic contributions.
It was meant to be, "Words To Saudade" clearly written as quippy and poetic to recognize it as serious. Simply understood, words that lead towards the state of saudade. Then, as a sign of fate, I accidentally dropped the 's' in a draft, and enjoyed what y'all see now. I grew up around much slang, AAVE was the dialect I was around the most, whether it was people who respected it or not. Usually racist perverts throwing this around. I want to both draw in people that speak and write in dialect, and those who enjoy the absurdity of certain income bracket(s) that are very, very cognitively dissonant. Its length and rhythm can also be a signal to those who respect poetry, cramming so much meaning in such little, mighty sentences.
Piecing that together, it can be interpreted as, "In all my seriousness of longing on what we cannot see, and we assume is in the future, or meta to the past, that is easily discarded as absent, is the truth to literature."Something like that. It's most impactful in my works!

I do not do venmo, paypal, or zelle. The safest, private way to tip/commission me is through Ko-Fi/Substack.
Ko-Fi and Substack do transactions through a third party app known as Stripe. What I can see are everyone's emails through Stripe. What I do for my friends when they must use an email with their deadname, and other sensitive information, I keep that to myself.

Hey,This corner of this site is me speaking directly to you, the reader. The rest of the writing was an attempt at sounding professional lol. No point in biting my tongue much here. I'm a transgender man, yes he/him pronouns, and a person of color. I am an undergrad going for an English major, and I want a boring technical writing job. I want to spend more time around linguistics to help others not be confused nor trapped by harmful content. Though, I hope, film is also for me. Who and what I love, hate, lust, cry for shows up more in my writing, I promise.
I thank you for being curious enough to get to know my writing. Art will always be intimate to everyone in some sort of way, especially with someone as private as I am irl.
So why have Ko-Fi, or turn on Substack paid subscription, right? I'd like to have the option to receive money as a form of a gift from readers who find my sarcastic, poignant tone worthy enough to throw change at. It's all I've been good at, retail has always been a pain. I'm also charmed by the idea that my honesty is tied to money, honey.
I don't want money to be the priority, really. I want to speak to writers, and artists way outside the writing medium! I think that's cool, and what I'd like more.

❔Who are you? Where can I find your works so I can avoid you?
I'm Manuosos Saudade, a solo writer. I currently am the only one running Word To Saudade, treat it as a blogpost / non-essential newsletter. You can find my works on Substack, YouTube, and TikTok.
❔Why are there so many options to financially support you?
Different options for better accessibility and choose what's most familiar. Not cause I want y'all to fund me in every site oh my god.
❔Can I commission or simply talk about an idea with you?
Yes, absolutely. Collabs, showing me stuff like a bird you found cool, art that mocks me makes my day. Substack has a subscription option to only have subscribers talk to me I immediately turned that shi off.
❔How long do you take to respond?
In general (DMs), in 2-3 days. With accepting or denying commissions/requests/services, 2-3 days. Completing requests are 3-5 days to 2 weeks, depends on what y'all want from me.
During college, and job hunting, and bar hopping, I respond within the week. When I'm not sober, I reply in the same hour! :D
❔What commissions do/don't you take?
I can take any commissions, just know if you request me to do extremely disgusting, fetishistic content, there is no argument to then have to consent to being recorded for the entire process of the commission.
